From February 28 to March 3, 2017, the Definitors of Romania’s Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of B.V.M and those of the Provincial Custody of the Orient and the Holy Land met together at the St. Joseph Friary and Provincialate in Bacau, Romania. Also attending were Friar Joaquín AGESTA, the Assistant General of the Federazione Inter-mediterranea Ministri Provinciali (FIMP) and Friar Maurizio DI PAOLO, the Procurator General of the Order.
Discussions focused on three basic points: the current status of the two Jurisdictions, priorities and projects that should be implemented, and ways of strengthening collaboration on formation regarding mission and solidarity of personnel.
The Provincial Definitory and Financial Office met with the Assistant General for the FIMP and the Procurator General to discuss formation, finances and canonical procedure. In addition, the Provincial Definitory and Financial Office received some guidelines on financial procedures.
Meeting participants were able to share their experience and personal vision on the issues raised in an atmosphere of true communion and fraternal dialogue. The meeting also included periods for fellowship and community prayer.
In addition, the meeting’s guests got to visit other friaries and houses of formation in the Province. In those places they experienced conversation, prayer and joy.
